Graphically, both games seem very much alike in terms of gameplay, but they have their own strengths and weaknesses.
The combat in Wartune is nice and simple with a kind of automatic turn-based system, but not reaching the degree of automation in League of Angels.
Also you get to build your own town.
There are many options for both PvE and PvP,
The game is suitable for people who just want to play a nice casual game, but hardcore players will have to pay a lot of money to enjoy it.

Save a lot of women

After logging in, you have the choice of a male or female Knight, Mage and Archer. Certainly not a great choice but it could be worse. There are fortunately fashion items such as wings and headgear that make your character look at least a bit unique.
Also, armor sets ensure that the appearance of your character changes over time.
The story of Wartune is very meager. Without any explanation you'll be immediately tasked with rescuing a helpless woman from a bear that has been taken over by evil forces. This is what you can expect for the rest of the game. Dull missions that consist of nothing more than to acquire as much loot and be as strong as possible.
Fights consist of a sort of automatic turn-based combat. All characters in combat attack as soon as it is their turn. Within this time you have the opportunity to activate a skill that will be used immediately once your turn starts. This works well and gives you a lucky little influence in the combat itself. The combat will finish fairly quickly. Some skills are Quick Time Events which can inflict additional damage if timed properly.

Daily Limits

Soon, you will get to access your own city. Here, you get new upgradable buildings after reaching certain levels. You can also unlock and upgrade new units and heroes. Later in the game, there are technologies that bestow many buffs such as additional gold production in the city or extra HP for your character.
There are many PVP options including Arena, Battle Ground, Guild Battles and Duels. You can also attack other people's towns and steal gold from them. There are also many different rankings in the game, so it's nice to try to get as high as possible on the leader boards.
There are many options for the PvE players as well. Solo dungeons, Group Dungeons, Quests, World Bosses and so on await you.
Unfortunately, everything in the game has a daily limit or a cool-down. After upgrading a building, for example, you can expect to wait a while. A minute or two is no problem, but soon you're going to reach the point where you have to wait for an hour before you can start the next upgrade. This is somewhat annoying for an action-oriented game.

Not really inspired

Graphically, Wartune is acceptable, the animations are okay and the characters look reasonable. Many elements are surely copied from other games such as the health and energy bars that are virtually identical to those of Diablo, and quite a few of the samples seem to come out of World of Warcraft. The game looks almost identical to League of Angels. You will therefore not encounter many unique things.
Sound wise the game does not do so well. The loops of music are fairly short and the sound has a bad bitrate, so everything sounds fuzzy.

Play To Pay!

Wartune is unfortunately a Pay to Win game. In the cash shop, you can buy skill points, make your wing overpowered, buy fashion items with stats, buy buffs and more. There are even special dungeons exclusive for paying players. VIP players also have no cool-downs for buildings and bypass other time limits with money. Here and there you can luckily get a little bit of cash shop currency, but it is certainly not enough to enjoy the game fully.

Conclusion

Wartune is a mix of many different, popular game elements. Quite a lot of the graphics assets are copied from other games and you should not expect much originality. The fact that paying players will be just much better is definitely not a positive. However, it can be an entertaining game for the people who occasionally log in and want to play alone or with friends, without caring much about leader boards. That being said, hardcore players should find another game if they do not want to spend hundreds of dollars.
